Benkovich Family Vacation July 2011

This year the Benkovich Family went to Easton Pennsylvania for vacation. Nick, Emily and I had been there before and loved it. We stayed at The Grand Eastonian, which Nick and I have done twice before.

This is a picture in the hang out room of Pat and Andy's room.

Easton is only about 30 min from Dorney Park. This is the carousel right inside the park.

Then is was off to the newly expanded Planet Snoopy!! Since we were there last year, they added several new rides and other amenities so we were excited to see what was new.

Planet Snoopy is a great park for kids and adults. Almost all of the rides, the adults can ride too. Which is really good when you have small kids.

This was the only ride the adults couldn't go on. When I buckled her in, I told her how to use the bar to go up and down. She didn't get it. As the ride was going, both Nick and i were telling her to pull the bar, while motioning with our hands what we meant. We laughed so hard when she took her hands off the bar and started copying exactly what we were doing. She went on it twice and still didn't get the hang of it :O)

Here is Aunt Natalie with Dervala behind Nick and Emily.

Dervala loved Snoopy!!

Emily would only give Snoopy a high five, But she did that at least 5 times, everytime we saw Snoopy, she wanted to get in line to go up to him, but would never give him a hug.

She would however give the plastic Snoopy a hug.

In the afternoon we went to Wildwater Kindom on the other side of Dorney park.
Both Emily and Dervala loved the wave pool. We spent at least and hour or so, just in the wave pool. This pic was taken when we got out. Scot and Caroline had gone to get a snack and Emily and Dervala had fun literally running in circles.  I didn't get a picture of it, but when Scot and Caroline came back with their Italian Ice, the were standing up eating them. They gave a bite to Dervala and Emily. Then both the girls just stood there with their mouths open waiting for another bite. They were so cute, they looked like little baby birds. So I told them to say "cheep cheep", and they did. They would say cheep cheep then stand there with their mouths open. For weeks after, whenever Emily wanted a bite of something I was eating, she would say "cheep cheep". It was so cute!

Just down the street from our hotel was The Crayola Factory. Nick, Emily and I had been there last year. As we were walking from the hotel, Emily insisted on holding the camera bag.

You can't see it too well in this picture, but the red light captures your movements and projects them in really cool ways on the white screen on the wall. This is crazy Uncle Scot showing the girls how it works.

The Crayola Factory is also connected to the Canal Museum. This pic was taken in the museum in the play area. Aunt Natalie was helping the girls make a tower and knock it down again.
