Everybody and their dog (or hippo)

So it seems like everyone I know has a blog, so I thought it was time that I jump on the bandwagon. I haven't decided how I want to write it yet. Should I write it to Emily, since this will be my digital scrapbook for her? Should I write it like a would to a audience? So many things to decide.

Anyway, let me introduce myself. My name is Stephanie or Steph for short, but more commonly called "MAMAAAA!!" by my beautiful almost 3 year old daughter Emily. I got married to the most amazing man more than 8 years ago. When I say amazing I mean it! Nick cooks and does the laundry! As well as tons of other great stuff AND puts up with all my crap. Every womans dream man, and I got him, I am so lucky! We live in a quiet New England town. I love it here! So different from where I grew up out west. We have 3 cats, Snickers, Nova and J.J. and 1 dog Bailey.

I can't believe my little girl will be 3 in a few short months. Time has really flown by. I remember when we were still in the hospital after she was born and I was holding her for the first time after they had taken her away to do the bath and what ever else they do, and she started to cry and Nick came over right away and took her from me and calmed her down. I knew right then that he was going to be the best daddy ever!

I keep meaning to write these down before I forget, but I never do, so I will do it here!

Emilys favorites(as of 11/19/10):

food-cheese sticks and grape tomatoes

books- Green Eggs and Ham, The Cow Loves Cookies and If You Give a Pig a Party

buddies- a brown bear named Ruby, a grey hippo named Bob, and one, sometimes two stuffed Snoopys

TV show- Dora the Explorer(she refuses to watch anything else, only a couple months ago it was the same for The Backyardigans)

Movie- How to Train Your Dragon and Cars (until recently it was Princess and the Frog, Bolt, and Wall-E)

only phrase I understand her saying- ohh I sorry didn mean to=Opps, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to

toy- train set, puzzles, magna doodle, any kind of ball and ball popper

activities- coloring, play-doh, watch tv, take Bailey to dog park

other things I want to remember:

she can count to 13 in english and 7 in spanish(at least watching all that Dora is good for something right?)

she knows most of her shapes

she knows most of her colors, but gets them mixed up sometimes

she is starting to learn the alphabet

she LOVES to run

she can buckle the top buckle of her car seat by herself and gets upset if I forget to let her do it

she loves to pretend to be asleep

she loves for us to pretend to be asleep so she can tickle us awake

she loves to hide under the covers and pop out and say boo

she loves candy

she almost always takes of her shoes and socks whenever we are in the car

she loves the watch the youtube clip of Snoopy and the bunnies over, and over and over, and over

she is the cutest little girl ever and I love her so much, this is my favorite picture of her and I, it was taken Christmas 2009
